In a large bowl, combine 4 cups of sunflower seeds 1/2 cup water 3/4 of flour 3 table spoons of corn syrup I pressed the mixture into cookie cutters set out on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper. Once I pressed the mixture in the cookie cutter, I took a pencil and “drilled” a hole”. When the cutter is clean the cutter slide right off the mixture keeping its shape well. Easy touch removing the cutter, you might need to rebuild a piece or two. You can either leave these out to dry 8-24 hours or I placed them in the oven for 2-3 hours on 200degrees (about an hour in I removed them, re-drilled the holes and flipped them over). After they were completely dry, I strung a ribbon through. So easy, so cute. // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ // < ![CDATA[ (function() { window.PinIt = window.PinIt || { loaded:false }; if (window.PinIt.loaded) return; window.PinIt.loaded = true; function async_load(){ var s = [...]

The words that still ring in my ears are “we are the luckiest girls in the world”. Megi had her 8th bday party at Sweet & Sassy at Polaris. She invited 8 girls and the party was a BIG success. Sweet & Sassy was perfect! The staff made the girls feel ultra special, as they did their nails, make up and hair- POP STAR. After they picked out an outfit, got all dolled up, they learned a few dance moves and then took to the stage for a karaoke show. Then they took a ride in a PINK limo, where the music blared and girls raised the roof on a trip around town. After the limo ride, they settled down for cupcakes and gifts. I was so impressed with the event. The Sweet & Sassy staff was attentive and fun. The make up was age appropriate and the outfits were perfect! I would highly recommend Sweet & Sassy for any pre-teen bday event! Click here to view this photo book larger Shutterfly photo books are the new way to preserve your memories.
For Megi’s 8-bday, she wanted a “rock star” theme. This year, we had her birtday at Sweet & Sassy, so since I had little need to have any creative input in the party, I had to make my mark by having cool cupcakes!! This was the perfect excuse to buy the “Circuit cake” that I had my eye on for a couple years! More on the Cricuit. Got to say I am pretty impressed with myself! I am not going to lie, it was a VERY time consuming process, adding a huge learning curve to mastering the Cricut cake– oh and I am far from mastering it. But I am having fun learning.

Between the candy cane peppermint cookies and this quick project we have officially rid ourselves of all the left over candy canes from christmas! Simply lay the candy canes and a stick on wax paper and fill the space with melted “wilton’s candy melts, then I drew the letters with a store bought gel icing. This took about 20 min to cool. Kids loved them, but beware they are semi- fragile!

While all my friends are baking the 12 days of christmas cookies, we decided to treat our furry friends this year and we made dog treats for all our four legged friends. I am definitely going to make more! The recipes were really easy! I used two recipes on- line and well, I have a confession to make. I tasted one! The kids literally almost fainted when I took a bite. Look–I made them, I know that is in them, and ok, BLECH, but the true test is whether or not my dogs loved them. AND they DID. When they figured out that the oven timer meant more treats they were immediately spoiled. For more recipes for dog treats, check out www.Bullwrinkle.com Milk Bone Bog Biscuits 3/4 cup hot water 1/3 Cup Margarine 1/2 Cup Powdered Milk 1 t. salt 1 egg beaten 3 c. whole wheat flour In large bowl pour hot water over the margarine.
Milk Bone Bog Biscuits

3/4 cup hot water
1/3 Cup Margarine
1/2 Cup Powdered Milk
1 t. salt
1 egg beaten
3 c. whole wheat flour

In large bowl pour hot water over the margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for a few minutes to form stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into bone shapes. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool. They will dry out quite hard. Makes about 1 1/4 pounds of biscuits.

Everyday Biscuit

2 t. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 Tbl. dry parsley
2 Tbl minced garlic
1 1/2 c. Chicken broth
3 Tbl honey
1 egg
5-6 c. whole wheat flour

Directions: Preheat oven to 350F

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in te parsley, garlic, broth, honey and egg. Gradually blend in flour, adding enough to form a stiff dough.

Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth (3-5 min). Shape the dough into a ball, and roll into 1/4 inch thick. Using a small bone-shapped cookie cutter make the biscuits. Transfer to ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 1/4 inch apart. Bake for 30 min, remove from oven and turn over. Bake for an additional 15 min or until lightly browned on both sides. Let cool overnight. (suggestion, turn off oven and let them cook in the oven overnight, the extra time in the oven as it cooks off helps make the treats crispy and crunchier.

I am going to the Martha Stewart Show). We arrived at the studio at 8:30am. We were not sure at all, what our involvement would be with the show, so we didnt know what to expect. At first it just appeared we were there just in the general audience. Which was still fine with us. There were about 150 people there ready to cheer on our Craft Queen. After warming up the crowd, we were approached by the producer who identified us as “the bloggers”. “the bloggers” were taken into the studio first. What an Amazing studio. Everything was so pristine, so Martha! After we were taken to our seats and provided special permission to tweet, and blog during the show, we were armed with our ipad, netbooks, iphones and Hootsuite, ready to narrate the whole experience. Prior to the show starting–which was aired LIVE by the way!- the group of 10 of us were taken on a set tour, we got to see up close and personal Marthas kitchen, her garden and her craft area. Just so exciting. During the show we tweeted our little hearts out while trying also to watch the show!

Right at the beginning of the show Martha referenced us and they gave us a quick camera swoop. No perma smiles here, I was tooth to tooth, thrilled to be there!

Today’s topics were Whole Living (healthy living), David Spain a “Mossologist”, Home Depot demonstrating how to cover marker on a wall, and Martha did a photo mat craft with Jade Harrington, (www.jaderbomb.com) who is pledging to do 100 Martha Crafts in 100 days! OK, I admit, maybe the Salad, the Moss and the Marker, was not the most thrilling topics, but interesting and informative! I have a new found interest in moss now! The whole experience was exciting, just to see everything done from behind the scenes. When Martha came out she of course was poised and professional, but what I didnt expect is that she is stunning! I know she was a model prior to her MSL empire, but at 70 years old, she looks absolutely incredible. After all the segments, we were asked to come down on the set again, this time with Martha for a group photo!!! Martha spoke briefly to us, basically just telling us she looked forward to looking at our blogs!! Which is REALLLLY scary. Then we were dismissed. We received the audience swag, which consisted of a Magazine, a moss rock (so cute) the marker treatment and a Martha Stewart paper trimmer– SO COOL! But then as “the bloggers” we received an additional swag bag, that contained a ton of halloween paper, paint, paint dabbers, cute Halloween stickers for decoration and a fabulous paper cutter that cuts spider webs on the edge of paper! WoW.

I also got to met some other great bloggers. None of us had similar blogs, so it was fun to meet what other women are doing with Social Media Marketing.

Here is a run down of the other special guests from “the blogger” section

Today I’m flying to New York to the Martha Stewart Show. As I sitting here waiting for the plane I am evaluating my jewelry choices and it’s interesting that I selected several meaningful pieces. First, and honestly the most intentional piece is my ring. I wear this ring 2-3 times a year. It was designed and made by my mom who was an artist. She was an amazing silversmith. For my brother’s and my birthday (we have the same birthday 3 years apart) she made my brother and I similar rings with our initials engraved on the top. My ingraved “M C M” is worn and hard to read. The ring has a flaw in the solder that even as time grew near to her death she wanted to fix the flaw. It was never fixed and 10 years now after her passing I look at that small imperfection and I am reminded of her passion and talents for arts and her passion for me and my brother. My brother and I wear our rings on occasions that celebrate her life and the life she gave us. Today, I wear the ring because my mom will be with me inspirit at the Martha Stewart Show. She would have incredibly excited for me.The next meaniful piece is a necklace that my BFF gave me on my last visit to her in Texas. Trista is the reason I’m going to The Show. Trista, on the advice of a friend applied to be considered as a creative blogger to be featured as one of 10 special guests who will blog and tweet in real time on the show tomorrow. Trista after being selected from the national search recommended me and her friend Bianca. The experience of the show is going to be amazing in itself, but to spend time with Trista and Bianca celebrating our blogs and our zest for creativity is so exciting. The next is my iPhone charm necklace! Very whimsical but I love it. It was given to me by two great real estate agents that I work with and who I help coach and mentor. They gave me the necklace and matching earings on my last birthday. I know they gave these gifts to me because I am a SUPER geek about my iPhone. To me it represents more than just a cool phone addiction. It represents to me my passion for technology and my drive to learn and grow with our techie world today. Being passionate about technology has provided me the opportunity to be surrounded by great agents who are ambitious and inspire me to learn more and help others achieve their goals. Being passionate about learning and merging my techie side of my brain with my eccentric creative side is also how I have landed this Martha Stewart adventure with my bff.The third piece of jewlry is a new Pandora bracelet the two of my closest friends bought me for my birthday last week. It is a bracelet that you add beads and charms to. They gave me the bracelet and the first charm. The charm is a pink stoned peace sign. Which I love. The bracelet represents friendship and peace and what I really love about it, is that I can add beads and charms over time that each have meaning and can each represent people in my life or special experiences. Hmmm, wonder if Martha has a charm, probablly not, that’s ok, I’m sure I will find one that represents creativity.I didn’t intend to be a walking memory jewelry box today! It wasn’t intentional but it makes me happy that I can pick out accessories and reflect on how blessed I am for the friends in my life and reflect on past and current exciting life experiences. You can follow Trista and Bianca and I with the following methods below. We will be reporting our our 48 hour adventure in New York on the #RoadToMartha and then #marthalive tomorrow on the show Twitter and our blogs.Molly: @imegimoo and www.megimoo.com

Yes, it is true! And I am in a complete panic! Let me explain. The Martha Stewart Show put out a call to her fans asking that for any of her fans were techie inclined, tweeters or bloggers to apply to be selected to attend a live taping of her show. The handful of bloggers would be selected and featured in the audience as they tweeted and blogged about their experience on the Martha Stewart Show in real time!! My bff, and “SMM, Tech and Creative Consult” (and everything else in between) applied for this amazing experience and was selected! After speaking with the producer on the show about her arrangements, Trista boldly recommended me and another creative blogger Bianca. So they verfied we were legit and invited us as well!! Trista is a highly qualified blogger, and social media consultant. She maintains several of her own Social Media channels, including the popular blog “MommyUpgrade” where she chronicles craft projects that she completes with her 3 year old daughter “Princess Cupcake”. Trista also recommended, Bianca. Bianca, has a stunning family blog ”Everyday with Violet Mae“, be sure to check out and bookmark these sites and of course you should bookmark megimoo.com and check [...]
