This craft by Dana & Todd had its controversy! For those of you that follow Dana & Todd’s food crafts, they have made school treats for their son, my adorable nephew for about 6 years. Everyone looks forward to Mason’s turn to bring the class treat. Well not everyone…. I have to be honest., Dana & Todd have set the bar pretty high for others (enough said). But this craft came with the other issue of whether a fruit roll was a safe snack for kindergarten class. Dana & Todd work hours on making impressive treats for Mason to present to his class. You can imagine their disappointment when met at the door with disapproval from the school administrator who suggested that this treat was not appropriate for the 5 year old students. I am going to avoid commenting on wheither or not fruit roll ups are safe or unsafe for a 5 year old. The administrator is given the task of making sure the kids are safe. So if you make this craft, please keep this in mind.
Kix Cereal and diced dried fruit melted with marshmallow to “glue it together” Formed in the shape of a corn cob and then wrapped with a fruit roll up as the husk. Popsicle stick optional
